Reflection
Yesterday morning, my aunt called to inform my family that my uncle in the hospital. This particular uncle is a God warrior. He has been a pastor and minister at least as long as I have been alive (I think). I can’t remember ever a time when he wasn’t serving someone else. He has a kind of Hezekiah testimony, that he could probably ask for more years when it seemed that his time was up.
Praying for my uncle this morning, I thought, I am so glad that God is concerned with what concerns me. He hears my prayers and sees our my tears and feels my every pain. He understands my idiosyncrasies and relates to me the way no other person does. That is a proper picture of our Heavenly Father.
Jeremiah 22:29 instructs to hear the word of the Lord. We have this confidence that if we hear Him, He hears us. What we have to be sure to do if we want Him to listen to us, is to take time to listen to Him.
UPDATE: My uncle had emergency surgery at 10 am last morning. The surgery went well. He will be coming home today.
