Morning Prayer
Yesterday, we learned the pattern of The Lord’s Prayer as it is written in Matthew 6:9-13. Read the following prayer.
Abba, Father, you are worthy of all praise! Thank you for being my Comforter and Counsellor. You are the only Mighty God. Let your will and your way be chief among my days and all over the earth. Send your Spirit to accomplish your plan in my life and my family. Supply our every need as you are able. I repent of everys sin and every iniquity in my life. Search me LORD. If you find anything that is not like you, take it out and strengthen me that I may be able to stand before you in peace at the last day. I forgive every office done to me. Let me not hold on to past hurts or seek revenge, but give grace to grow and change the way you have forgiven me. Let your Holy Spirit keep me from the bondage of besetting thoughts and actions that create division between you and I. Let me say to temptation that I am no longer available to follow it, but that I am committed to live and do according to your will. And I know that everything works together for my good because you are the King of Kings, and the LORD of lords, and the Father of lights from which every good and perfect thing comes. You have all power. You deserve all glory. And you reign forever. Amen.
Practice praying according to the blueprint Jesus left for His family.

Reflection
Without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). What we need to remember is that God gives us grace to have faith. He provides to every person a seed of faith that can be cultivated and harvested and re-sown for a greater return. What is important to note is that the cultivation of faith is a choice. We must choose to take hold of the faith seed and start working on it by putting it into action. If we do not cultivate faith, we will find it difficult to do the one thing that God requires – to believe.
The words faith and belief are sometimes used interchangeably. However, if you define them differently, it is easier to apply each principle in order to achieve victory. Faith is the evidence that something exists or will happen, in absence of the thing itself. Belief is trust in someone or something. Thus, when you apply belief to faith, the result is that you are able to trust that there is evidence of the existence of what you have faith for.
Know that God takes pleasure in providing for you as His child (Luke 12:32, Psalm 147:11). If you can believe or have trust in God that He is able to do all things, you have faith that your petition to Him is signed, sealed, and delivered.
And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. 1 John 5:15
