Morning Prayer
Recently, we learned the pattern of The Lord’s Prayer as it is written in Matthew 6:9-13. Read the following prayer.
Abba, Father, you are full of grace! Thank you for being my Prince of Peace. You are the only wise God, may Savior. Let your plan be established over all the earth. I surrender my life to you. Be the head of my spirit and my family. I trust you to be my provider. I look to you. I repent of any and everything that has drawn my heart away from you. Restore me by your grace. Cleanse me of all unrighteousness. I remit the sins of everyone who has hurt me. Let it not be laid to their charge, but let them find grace in your sight and forgiveness. I know that temptation is only the enemy’s work. Renew mind that I will not follow another voice because you are my Shepherd. Now LORD, show forth your grace and power for you are the King above all kings and omnipotence belongs only to you. Be glorified in my life today and forever more. AMEN.
Practice praying according to the blueprint Jesus left for His family.

Reflection
God gives grace for forgiveness. He forgives us even though we do not deserve it. He has assigned a value to your life and that precious price far above rubies covers His lenses when He looks at you. It is only the enemy who wants you to feel ashamed in the presence of God.
My little children (believers, dear ones), I am writing you these things so that you will not sin and violate God’s law. And if anyone sins, we have an AdvocatMy little children (believers, dear ones), I am writing you these things so that you will not sin and violate God’s law. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate [who will intercede for us] with the Father: Jesus Christ the righteous [the upright, the just One, who conforms to the Father’s will in every way—purpose, thought, and action]. 2 And He [that same Jesus] is the propitiation for our sins [the atoning sacrifice that holds back the wrath of God that would otherwise be directed at us because of our sinful nature—our worldliness, our lifestyle]; and not for ours alone, but also for [the sins of all believers throughout] the whole world. I John 2:1-2
Jesus became the sacrifice for our sins that could not be otherwise atoned. He also sent us a Comforter in the Holy Spirit, who now makes intercession for us. No matter what you may have done, Christ died for that too. Forgiveness is available and full of grace for you. God knows that human nature is sinful nature. He will always provide a way of escape from temptation and sin. The key is that you have a choice. You must choose the righteous response. You have to put God first in everything. When allowing God to be first in your life becomes automatic because of learned repetition, this “second nature” will be the first resort of your heart and spirit instead of the default human nature that is not pleasing to God.
Although God gives forgiving grace, we are warned not to sin willfully, using grace as an excuse. The problem with willful sin is that just like a sports skill is learned and becomes an automatic reflex when practiced, sin becomes a reflex when you repeatedly sin. God says that if we love Him, we will do what He says (John 14:15). Let grace abound for you by receiving forgiveness and turning away from sin. When temptation or trial comes, praise God in the middle of it. This is the light that leads them out of these tunnels.
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:1-2
