Our greatest weapon is the presence of God. In His presence, there is no place for anxiety, fear, or defeat. We can have full confidence in the God of the universe. He holds the planets in perfect position, with the stars and the suns, and the moons. He is more than able to keep our own lives in proper orbit when we surrender our lives to His SON.

In the middle of leading worship Sunday, I could not remember all of the words to the song I was singing. It was Fred Hammond’s, No Weapon.

The only words I could recall were, “No weapon formed against me shall prosper. It won’t work. No weapon formed against me shall prosper, it won’t work. I won’t be afraid of the arrows by day from the hand of the enemy. I can stand my ground with the LORD on my side. For the snares they have set will not succeed.”

⁷No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. Isaiah 54:7

I just kept repeating those words. Finally, I just ended the song. The next thing that came out of my mouth was, “Lift your hands.” Then, I started singing, “I love you LORD, and I lift my voice, to worship you. All my soul, rejoice. Take joy, my KING, in what you hear. Let it be a sweet sound in your ear.”

I did not know that today the enemy would start stamping his feet and kicking up dust from decades ago to try to spark doubt and offer me the spirit of fear. Perfect love casts out fear.

Your battle is not about you. It’s about JESUS. It’s about the JESUS in you. No weapon formed against you (or I) shall prosper.
