Spiritual Authority

There is authority by organization as with hierarchical establishments in the corporate world where a CEO would have more power than a newly hired employee, or in a religious organization where a pastor has more authority within the church than the usher at the door; and there is spiritual authority – which may be present – or not, in either of the aforementioned conditions – which is why God must be reverenced by all, because people without His leading are subject to do anything.

When God calls you to be a woman of purpose, He does not expect you to ask permission to be who He calls you to be. However, the world society is organized in hierarchies. Thus, there may be times when you will need to ask questions, although you have authority from God. There may be persons in situations with greater authority than you have. There may also be situations where God will have you to ask questions to keep the peace, though you may have the most authority.

Receiving a commission from God is not a license to disrupt the authority of others. God is not the author of confusion.

There is also more than one type of leadership. Choose first of all to lead by example. This is your path to leadership at any level that God wants you to be. Leadership does not always mean leadership from the front. A sermon lived rather than preached, is also leadership.

Do not confuse spiritual authority with a title. Spiritual authority comes from God; and He raises up one, and puts down another, according to His purpose. Your call to become a woman of purpose is within His master plan of purpose for all whom He calls. Remember, you are not the only one who has been called.
