You Are Reading Take Me To The King

This week, we focus on working in your first ministry: the ministry to your family.

The first Seeds of Promise devotional was written to honor the seed of a child. I remember singing as a Sunshine Band (children’s choir) member and later Big Sister,

I am a promise. I am a possibility. I am a promise, with a capital P. I am a great big bundle of potentiality. And I am trying to hear God’s voice. And I am trying to make the right choice. I am a promise to be anything God wants me to be.

That song has remained with me unto this day. Now that I am a mother, I see the promise in my son. God truly is merciful; and his thoughts and ways are far above ours. He has put His love into a life form, just as he did when He sent His Son Jesus as a manchild. There is no one else who can do that. God is the author of life. I glorify Him for His gift.
