LORD, Teach Me to Watch and Pray
Day 2 – Running Praise
2.3
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8
Watching and praying is also for spiritual warfare. Keeping a song going in your heart at all times is also for spiritual warfare. Think about it. When you hear a stupid song and you “can’t get it out of your head,” how difficult is it to think about anything else?
If you put a spiritual song in your mind on purpose and get engrossed in that praise and worship, how difficult is it for the enemy to bring you an evil thought. Does it not get bounced back like a bad email address? Tell the enemy you have a new address and he is not welcome in your mind-hood anymore.
Here are some good songs to get you started with a running, or ongoing praise and worship in your quest to keep your mind on watching and praying.
