14th II Samuel Chapter 10 Chapter 12  Not Left Behind

Memory Verse: And he sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet; and he called his name Jedidiah, because of the LORD.  II Samuel 12:25 KJV

The Bible is full of parables, metaphors and miracles. Through these intricacies we learn that God goes to great lengths to prove Himself to you and to all mankind as the author and finisher of our faith. With such painstaking detail, it would not behoove Him to let his workmanship go lightly out of His shadow.

God wants to have His glory around His throne. Therefore the way of the transgressor is hard (Proverbs 13:15). To transgress means to sin against. If we knew not the law of God,we could not sin against it – because without a law there would be no occasion to wilfully break the law (which law would not exist).

The man who uses his power to slay the upright in his way, is running a race against time. Sooner or later, he will face a hurdle that is too high to lie over; a valley that is too low to sneak under; a truth that is too golden for silence.

When God reminds people of His laws, He may be trying to remind hearts grown weary in following after Him that He does not want to leave a man [or woman] behind.
