8th | Ezekiel | Chapter 25 | Chapter 28 | A Proud Heart |
Memory Verse: “Because you have imagined your !one (to be) like the !one of God (having thoughts and plans like God himself” (Ezekiel 28:6 (AMP)).
God hates a proud heart.
Everyone who is proud and arrogant in heart is disgusting and exceedingly offensive to the Lord; Be assured he will not go unpunished. Proverbs 16:5 AMP
The Prince of Tyre said to himsrlf, I am a god. He fooled himself because he had some wisdom. By it he gained wealth and power. He became arrogant and lifted up.
By your great wisdom and by your trade you have increased your riches and power, and your heart is proud and arrogant because of your wealth (Ezekiel 28:5 AMP)
Because of Tyte’s arrogance,God promised to bring the most vile nations to fight against it.
Will you still say, “I am a god,”
In the presence of him who kills you?
But you are [only] a man [made of earth] and not God,
In the hands of those who wound and profane you. Ezekiel 28:9 AMP
