A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. Proverbs 13:22 KJV

The prodigal son sought his inheritance of the riches of his father. Then, he squandered them before returning home. It is not of God to try to bleed your family for what is “owed to you.” If God is your father, your inheritance comes from Him.

The Levites and all the tribe of Levi (Deuteronomy 18) did not receive land for their inheritance (Joshua 14:3), though God instructed Joshua to divide the land among the people (Joshua 13:7). The Levites were the priests of God. God himself was their inheritance.

Are you trying to get your due from the world? What is your due? Do – your reasonable service (Romans 12:1); and God will provide your inheritance. Caleb served God and Moses the Lord’s servant pronounced His blessing for Caleb, forty-five years before it came to pass (Joshua 14:7-12).

13 And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance. 14 Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel. Joshua 14:13-14 KJV

Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth Matthew 5:5 KJV
