6th Nehemiah Chapter 1 Chapter 3 Love On A Mission

Memory Verses: And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven Nehemiah 1:4 | And said unto the king, Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers’ sepulchres, lieth waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire? Nehemiah 2:3

Do you get teary-eyed when you hear of others’ sorrow? Compassion is not a thing for mockery, though some would tease, “Softie.” It should prick your heart when you know that others are suffering. Especially for we of the household of faith, the compassion of Christ should shine through us. This is the reason why people become missionaries of His hope; becoming the hands and feet that heal and go, near and far to comfort the bereaved and feed the hungry and build the cities that have been torn down.

You do not need a certificate or special training to have compassion. If the Spirit of God is within you, that Holy Spirit will give you what words to say when the time comes that you should speak comfort – or let you know that your silent presence means more than other gifts you could afford.

Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Romans 12:15

By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another. John 13:35
