10th Nehemiah Chapter 11 Chapter 12 The Hater Huddle

We know that God takes pleasure in our thanksgiving. Thus we need not rest our countenance on the accolades of men. Do you know someone who gets really mad if no one says, “Thank you” to him or her – especially if not in public?  Do not forget that God also “gives thanks.” He appreciates your gratefulness. When you feel unappreciated, thank God the more for His many blessings. Remember that to truly praise God, you must humble yourself; and God exalts such as esteem Him higher than themselves.

.
One of the ploys of Satan to rock your faithful boat, is to not only launch the “hater huddle,” – people who rarely or never have anything positive to say, but often or always have a word of advice for you who are called to live the meaning of “joy.” The hater huddle also lets you “happen to hear” what is said, or to gather in a place such that you will undoubtedly cross its path.
.
(Why would you fill your heart with the words of people who will stunt your spiritual growth? Our desire should be to move closer to God, not to become the bitter taste that he spews out. While you may not become a spiritual hermit, you must be sure to displace the poisoned water of unruly tongues. Imagine a cup filled with dirty water. The cup itself is a vessel only. The filth being removed, you could potentially use that cup for something else. If you are the cup being filled, you can only remove “dirty water” (negatives), by pouring in more “fresh water” (positives). You have to flood your mind with the Word of God. If you do not do this, you will soon have a stained cup.)
To combat this type of warfare, you must not fail to renew your mind.
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:1-2
The response the enemy wants to provoke is anger – something to cloud your judgment and put your righteousness at risk; or self-pity: something to make you cry “Lord, what about me” so much that you forget to ask, “Lord, what would you have me do?”; or shame: something to make you feel unworthy to carry out the mission the Lord gave to you.
.
Remember who you are. The enemy summons you to battle because he sees the Savior in you. He wants to ruin your influence; to render you ineffective while you wallow in guilt and shame over what you did in a rage. But God is a master potter: an expert in reconstruction of marred clay. And those vessels fitted for your marring are chosen also – that His glory may be revealed in you (Romans 9:17-18). So fret not yourself because of evildoers: God is preparing an infomercial – even the enemy will get the message when that spot airs.
.
Beloved, God knows your value – a price far above rubies. He would not have allowed His own Son to give His life for a worthless cause of no consequence. Satan also knows that you are valued by God. His only axe is to try to get you to forfeit the favor that is already yours. How do you know that you have favor? God has already called you out of darkness. You would not be able to meet Him unless He revealed Himself. The Spirit of God is not a thing that can be stolen at the will of men (and women).
.
Do not become discouraged by the ungrateful who would provoke you to wrath; this will only stunt your own growth. Ever seen how a person could try to make you upset – then, they go on like nothing happened while you fester? Don’t bite the line. You can see that one coming. You’re stronger than that.
.
Haters do what haters do (Galatians 4:16). But the kingdom of heaven belongs to the Servants of the Most High God. Just because haters don’t like it, doesn’t make it false.
I TIMOTHY 4
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained. 7But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. 8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. 9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation. 10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

11 These things command and teach. 12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. 15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. 16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Haters huddle but holiness heals. You can chose to be sore or whole (Deuteronomy 30:19).
